COUNTERBORE SET
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this

Salient characteristics:
Consist of 2 counterbore holders, 13 cutters for counterboring and spotfacing, and 17 pilots for guiding the cutters. The two holders shall be interchangeable with their respective cutters and pilot subassemblies. The cutters and pilot subassemblies shall be hand detachable. A means shall be provided for securing the pilots to the cutters.
Counterbore holders- Each set shall be provided with one straight shank counterbore holder and one taper shank counterbore holder. The holders shall be of the following nominal dimensions:

Material for holders shall be steel, heat treated to Rockwell C 50-60.
Cutters. Set shall be provided with five cutters for use with the No.1 holder and eight cutters for use with the No.2 holder. Cutter shall have a minimum of three helical flutes and shall be of the following nominal dimensions:
